Topp Tio Tisdag 28 maj

Det är tisdag och dags för Topp Tio Tisdag (Top Ten Tuesday). Den här veckan är ämnet Top Ten Tuesday Freebie, det vill säga vad man vill. Man får bestämma själv, helt enkelt. Har funderat på detta ett tag och har kommit på vad jag ska lista: Topp Tio böcker jag vill/ska läsa på engelska.

1. The fault in our stars av John Green. Jag håller på att läsa den nu,men jag tycker att den räknas ändå.  
   Despite the tumor-shrinking medical miracle that has bought her a few years, Hazel has never been anything but terminal, her final chapter inscribed upon diagnosis. But when a gorgeous plot twist named Augustus Waters suddenly appears at Cancer Kid Support Group, Hazel's story is about to be completely rewritten. Insightful, bold, irreverent, and raw.

2. The Lord of The Rings av J.R.R Tolkien. Fick boxen med alla böcker för flera år sedan, men nu ska jag läsa dem. Har tänkt försöka läsa de i sommar. 

3. One for the money av Janet Evanovich. Fick tips om böckerna om Stephanie Plum här på bloggen och nog låter de bra. 
   Detta är den första delen. Stephanie Plum is down on her luck. She's lost her job, her car's on the brink of repossession, and her apartment is fast becoming furniture-free. Enter Cousin Vinnie, a low-life who runs a bail-bond company. If Stephanie can bring in vice cop turned outlaw Joe Morelli, she stands to pick up $10,000. 4. Divergent av Veronica Roth. Tror att den här serien kan vara bra att läsa på engelska. De låter ju grymt spännande! 
   She turns to face the future in a world that's falling apart. For sixteen-year-old Tris, the world changes in a heartbeat when she is forced to make a terrible choice. Turning her back on her family, Tris ventures out, alone, determined to find out where she truly belongs. Shocked by the brutality of her new life, Tris can trust no one. 5. The hunger games av Suzanne Collins. Läste den första boken för länge sedan på svenska, men nu skulle jag vilja läsa hela serien på engelska.
  Set in a dark vision of the near future, a terrifying reality TV show is taking place. Twelve boys and twelve girls are forced to appear in a live event called The Hunger Games. There is only one rule: kill or be killed. When sixteen-year-old Katniss Everdee steps forward to take her younger sister's place in the games, she sees it as a death sentence. 6. Beautiful Creatures av Kami Garcia & Margaret Stohl. Skulle vilja se filmen också, men först måste man ju läsa boken. 
   Is falling in love the beginning...Or the end? In Ethan Wate's hometown there lies the darkest of secrets. There is a girl. Slowly, she pulled the hood from her head. Green eyes, black hair. 7. The vampire diaries av L.J. Smith. Jag har ju sett The vampire diaries på tv sporadiskt och jag tycker serien är väldigt bra, så därför skulle jag vilja läsa böckerna. 
   A phenomenally popular vampire romance sequence - now showing on ITV2 - from the best selling author of Night World, L. J. Smith. The Awakening: Elena Gilbert is used to getting what she wants and she wants mysterious new boy, Stefan. 8. Jellicoe Road av Melina Marchetta. Har läst mycket om boken ute i bloggosfären och det skulle vara intressant att läsa boken.
   This absorbing, award-winning novel is part love story, part family drama, and part coming-of-age story in one compelling tale. If Taylor Markham can put together the pieces of her past and present, she might just be able to change her future.

9. Me and Mr. Darcy av Alexandra Potter. Tror att boken skulle vara riktigt rolig och lite chick-lit är ju aldrig fel.
   He's every woman's fantasy. After a string of nightmare relationships, Emily Albright has decided she's had it with modern-day men. Shed rather pour herself a glass of wine, curl up with Pride and Prejudice and step into a time where men were dashing, devoted and honourable, strode across fields in breeches, their damp shirts clinging to their chests...So when her best friend invites her to Mexico for a week of margaritas and men, Emily decides to book a guided tour of Jane Austen country instead. And every woman's fantasy suddenly becomes one woman's reality...

10. The Tribe: A new world av A.J. Penn. När jag var liten älskade jag The Tribe och brukade dagdrömma om fortsättningen och jag hoppas fortfarande att de ska göra en ny säsong eller en film, även om det inte är så troligt, tyvärr. Nu har några olika författare skrivit böcker om karaktärerna i The tribe så jag skulle verkligen vilja läsa dem. 
   Based upon the cult television series, 'The Tribe'. Forced to flee the city in their homeland - along with abandoning their dream of building a better world from the ashes of the old - the Mall Rats embark upon a perilous journey of discovery into the unknown.
